Bamboo Shoots Curry Recipe - Authentic Coorg Recipe.
Coorg Was known as the " Bamboo District " as the British made notes in their Gazettes in 1899. Due to prolonged monsoon and many water bodies, Bamboo grows all over Coorg. During the monsoon, the tender shoots are harvested by local communities for consumption. this version is a Reed Bamboo or locally called ' Vaate Baimbale' , grows in abundance in the Northern part of Coorg & along the Western Ghats. Our Bamboo Shoots are sourced from private lands of the native residents and are grown in a natural habitat. Kodava delicacies are 'stir fried bamboo & bamboo curry' made with Ainmane Curry Masala. Our bamboo is preserved with just fresh water. No other preservatives are used.
